Cleanweb Hackathon NYC
Event Information
Description
The Cleanweb Hackathon is returning to New York City!
The spirit of the Cleanweb Hackathon is to show what you can create in a weekend; specifically, it is the opportunity to apply web, mobile and social media technologies to resource constraint issues, such as energy, waste, transporation, and water efficiency. For an overview on Cleanweb, check out the SXSW deck.
AlleyNYC is the awesome venue booked (near Penn Station). Things will kickoff with a netwoking event & bootcamp on Friday, September 28th where you can scout for potential team members and talk with API platform companies, investors, and media.
The kickoff party is not required, but we certainly hope you can make it to start off a fantastic weekend! If you register for a regular hackathon ticket, a ticket to the Friday night social is part of the deal - good times with DJ, food and drinks included.
Thanks to our partnership with The Carbon War Room, you will also have the opportunity to hear research presented by their exec. staff on a few select sectors, e.g., energy efficiency, waste management, and transportation. App ideas as developed by participants of Creating Carbon Wealth Workshops around the world will also be explained and mentors available on Saturday should you choose to work on the envisioned solutions.
Once you're registered, be sure to create your profile on Hacker League, review news, and wiki pages, and create your project if you have one in mind already. This will help us all better connect and communicate during the weekend of the hackathon.
