Cleanup #2 at Young Conservation Area
Date and time
Join OSC and our partners for our second litter cleanup at Young Conservation Area on Saturday, February 19th.
About this event
In March 2020, the Open Space Council helped conserve a 70-acre addition to the Young Conservation Area in LaBarque Creek. To prepare the addition to be open for public use, we need your help to remove trash and debris from the site. We’re looking for volunteers who live near the Young Conservation Area to join us for this cleanup!
The cleanup will be on Saturday, February 19th from 9 am - 12 pm. Check-in and registration is at 8:45 am. Volunteers will meet at the cleanup location. Directions to the specific cleanup location within the conservation area will be emailed to registered participants.
Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, and bring a mask and a filled water bottle. Work gloves and tools will be provided.
This cleanup is part of a series of outdoor workdays at the Young Conservation Area organized by the Open Space Council in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation. We hope you will join us for future events to steward this conservation area and improve wildlife and native habitat for generations to come.
Special thanks to the Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Stream Teams, and Open Space Council members for supporting this event!
