Zonis has over 25 years of experience in program strategy and management, business development and partnerships, marketing and communications, innovation and entrepreneurship. She comes to the Cleantech Open after five years at MIT: building the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) in Moscow, as Director of Communications in the Office of Digital Learning, and as Director of Emerging Worlds at the Media Lab where she helped empower innovators in emerging economies to solve critical problems with digital technology.

Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years at IBM; in her last role there she was Global Marketing Manager for Site and Facilities Services where she promoted energy-efficient data center solutions. Early in her career, Zonis worked for two IT startups, one of which grew from five employees to over 1000.

As a long-time mentor in the Cleantech Open (since 2009), Zonis is committed to the Cleantech Open mission of advancing cleantech solutions to improve our environment through entrepreneurship. She is a Board Member of ACTION, the Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England. Outside of work, Zonis plays squash, swims, kayaks and hikes, and enjoys spending time with her family.

She holds a BA, cum laude, from Wellesley College, an MBA from Boston University, a Certificat de Science Politique from Sciences Po in Paris, a Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Southern Maine, and a Certificate in Venture Mentoring Services from MIT.
