About this event
Join Christian Life Community online for a morning of prayer, reflection and conversation on the theme of Discerning Paths for Hope: Journey from Amazement to Witness, the theme of the most recent letter from the World Executive Council, Projects 178.
Inspired by the scripture: “You will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8), we will explore significant moments of being amazed, hearing the cries around us, imagining creative possibilities, and envisioning ways to be witnesses of Christ in our world! CLC groups around the world will also be reflecting on these themes as we prepare for the World General Assembly in August 2023 in Amiens, France.
For this Advent online reflection, members of CLC in the New York region will facilitate the process. Our agenda for the day:
- Opening Prayer
- Overview of the themes in Projects 178
- Q&A
- Personal Prayer time
- Small group conversations
- Sharing and Evaluation in Whole Group
- Closing prayer
To prepare for this event we encourage you to read Projects 178 which you can find on our world CLC website. Here is the link: http://www.cvx-clc.net/l-en/projects/Projects_178%20A%20Journey%20from%20Amazement%20to%20Witness.pdf
This event is free, but we do encourage donations for our World CLC Solidarity Fund which supports funding to ensure representation from all our CLC national communities worldwide.
