Event description

Description

Prepare to get messy!

During this workshop you will experience the therapeutic power of clay, and learn how to utilise this fabulous medium to its full effect in your environment.

Children are very drawn to clay, it is easily manipulated and is a natural sensory medium through which they can express themselves. The experience of working with clay has invaluable cathartic and personal benefits as well as being a fantastic creative artistic medium. There is nothing else quite like clay. In art therapy it is referred to as a regressive medium, which means it has a unique ability to bring up memories or feelings from the past.

This training is for you if you have an interest in children’s mental health, including:

  • Primary and Nursery Teachers and TA’s
  • Social Workers
  • Speech and Language Therapists
  • Parents
  • Adoption and Fostering agency workers
  • Family Support workers
  • Playworkers
  • Care home staff
  • Occupational therapists
  • Youth workers

With 15 years of experience and enthusiasm to share, Jacqui is an engaging trainer and her workshops are experiential, informal and fun. We have workshops running throughout the year in various venues. If you can’t make this one, or you'd like me to deliver bespoke training in your setting, please contact me: jacqui@moonbeamsplaytherapy.co.uk or visit my website at www.moonbeamsplaytherapy.co.uk
