Event description

Description

Develop a love for wildlife while you develop the skills to render these animals that call this planet their home. This class focuses on introducing students to drawing elements that increase their rendering skills for those interested in creating wildlife art. We will look closely at the shapes and textures of paws, claws, tails, horns, antlers, fur, teeth and eyes. After practicing these features we will render a large final drawing of the animal of your choice. This class will be held at The Card Wildlife Education Center at Ferris State University, where you can get up close and personal with over 150 different specimens from around the world. Carrie Weis is the Museum and Gallery Director for The College of Arts and Sciences at Ferris State University. She has a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from Kendall College of Art and Design. She is a practicing artist, and arts educator, and a champion of art and nature. All materials provided by Artworks.
