Description

Classroom management depends on building positive student relationships, identifying and leveraging student motivations, and creating warm and welcoming support structures and routines. Learn from two model NYC public school teachers and leaders.

* Learn how to create positive student-teacher interactions and try to avoid the negative ones.
* Manage behaviors of challenging students by identifying what motivates them.
* Create classroom structures and routines to help make the environment warm and welcoming.

**Featured Speakers**: Brittney Cook, teacher at UA School of Law & Justice and 2017 Math for America Master Teacher Fellow, and Deborah Schaeffer, dept head & model teacher at East Brooklyn Community High School and 2014 Math for America Master Teacher Fellow.
