Event Information
Description
This is a two-day classroom training event. MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS
The Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps will conduct Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training sessions. PLEASE NOTE! All three (3) CERT training (Classroom, Online, and Hands-On) in addition to registering with Monroe County as a volunteer are necessary for you to be issued a re-entry placard that allows you priority entry post-evacuation.
Online training can be done at https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=is-317. You will need to bring a copy of the certificate of completion to the class.
The purpose of the re-entry placard is to assist your community as a second tier responder.
The Monroe Emergency Reserve Corps is a volunteer CERT group supporting the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management.
