NEXCO is pleased to present this comprehensive one-day seminar on classifying inorganic and organic chemicals in Chapters 28 and 29 of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). The seminar will provide guidance for chemical classification, definitions of various chemistry terms necessary for classification, discussion of drugs and medicaments in Chapter 30, and the Pharmaceutical Appendix. It will also briefly discuss classification of polymers in primary form.

Ms. Abraham specializes in import, export, and international trade laws. She has presented this material to various fortune 100 companies and trade associations and is the author of two well-recognized books on the subject: Chemical Customs Classifications Manual and Polymers and Rubbers Classifications Manual. She began her career at C. Itoh & Co. and worked for a number of years at Swiss Army.
JoAnne Colonnello - Director of The Pharmaceuticals, Health & Chemicals Center
Director Colonnello serves as the Center Director for the Center of Excellence and Expertise for Pharmaceuticals, Health, and Chemicals (PHC) with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Before assuming duties as the Center Director, Ms. Colonnello served as the Assistant Port Director for the Trade Operations Division in the Port of New York/Newark. In this capacity, Ms. Colonnello managed one of the largest trade divisions in the country
