Classic Film: “Notorious,” part of the Mysteries of Life film series
(1946, 101 minutes, Black and White) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Government agent T.R. Devlin (Cary Grant) recruits American beauty Alicia Huberman (Ingrid Bergman) to spy on her father’s influential Nazi friends in this top-notch Alfred Hitchcock espionage thriller that builds to an incredibly suspenseful climax. As part of her cover, Alicia marries one of her father’s associates (Claude Rains), but she finds she’s falling hopelessly in love with the man who hired her.
The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation present the Classic Film Series free of charge and invite anyone in the community to attend. Beverages are provided courtesy of Bryan Coca Cola Bottling Company and popcorn is available at no cost. Refreshments are available in the lobby in the hour preceding the start of each movie. All films are shown in the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center's Hagler Auditorium, unless otherwise noted, and a speaker introduces each film. Parking is free and plentiful.
