Many stand-up comics, at some point, take an improv class to help them with their act. Improv has a lot to offer stand-ups, and that’s what this class is all about.

You’ll learn the basics of long-form improv comedy. However, unlike a typical beginner’s improv class, your classmates will be other stand-ups who are already familiar with comedy and performing.

As you learn to improvise, we'll also explore how improv can directly help expand your stand-up skills, such as riffing, staying present, doing characters and act-outs, crowd work, punching up jokes, and generating new material.

And because of the collaborative nature of improv, this class will give you the opportunity to find other comics you have chemistry with and who knows maybe you'll start the next Always Sunny or Broad City or at least a podcast or something.

Taught by veteran improviser Tim Martin, this class will give you a fresh perspective on comedy and new ways to approach your writing and performing.

Let’s gooooooo!
