Clarion - Off the Charts
Overview
Spokane's mega-brass group will be performing off the charts! February will find Clarion rattling the rafters at St. John's Cathedral with huge sounds from grand opera to hot rock, from ballet to disco, from cowboy to reggae to Broadway.
This is a program with nothing but encores & show-stoppers back-to-back from start to finish. Clarion will be all over the map and maybe even surprise you with the places brass can go.
Clarion is a 14-member brass group with percussion conducted by Andrea Olsen. William Berry prepares all of their musical arrangements, which have been played all over the planet.
The versatility of brass instruments in the hands of Clarion's amazingly virtuosic musicians means the group is as much at home with Puccini's Nessun Dorma, Copland's Billy the Kid and Orff's Carmina Burana as they are with Crocodile Rock, Buffalo Soldier and Ghost Riders in the Sky. And they are certainly ready to try Defying Gravity!
Plan on flying into St. John's with Clarion's wild and beautiful mix of big brass adventure.
