Claim Your Health!

Each person’s definition of optimal health is different. Perhaps you are pursuing your version of optimal health but something is still “off”. Brain fog, digestive issues or a chronic cycle can feel like daunting hurdles in your way of optimal health. Health issues sometimes require a team of people that can support you. The panelists in this discussion are excited to be your team for an evening.

This interactive panel of experts are ready to discuss your questions, talk about your hurdles to health, and they each bring a different perspective to create a well rounded conversation. This panel features Jessica Flannigan (Certified Noetic Practitioner & author of The Loving Diet), Emily Leahy (energy healer), Dr. Joseph Smith (chiropractor and board certified functional neurologist) and Omega Zumpano (exercise physiologist and advanced recovery performance trainer). Read more about our speakers below!

About our speakers

Jessica Flannigan: Jessica is a Certified Noetic Practitioner, and has been Clinical Nutritionist for over 20 years. She currently trains practitioners in her recently launched Spiritual Coaching certification course and has a thriving mind-body practice that includes microbiome restoration, functional medicine nutrition and the principles of loving-kindness. The author of The Loving Diet, she sets forth practical steps for those dealing with chronic disease to reframe their circumstances from lack to abundance.

Emily Leahy: Emily Leahy, founder of Return to Sacred, is a certified healer, teacher, and guide in the Modern Mystery School. She specializes in supporting passionate hustlers who crave to ditch burnout and claim their worth to make a lasting difference in the world. Using grounding techniques and tools, she teaches how to create balance, master boundaries, and develop a stronger capacity to face life’s challenges. Emily believes in individual empowerment for collective impact through the application of these ancient tools.

Dr. Joseph Smith: Dr. Joseph P. Smith is a board-certified chiropractic neurologist through the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and a fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology, with specialties in neurodegeneration and child developmental disorders. He has earned diplomate status through the International College of Applied Kinesiology.

Dr. Smith earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University and his Bachelor of Science in psychology from North Dakota State University. He has been speaking internationally on the topics of applied kinesiology and functional medicine since 2008. He held an adjunct faculty position at the University of Mary in Fargo, North Dakota until 2008.

He is the founder of Atlas Institute, a nonprofit organization that educates the public on nutritional concepts and controversies and has two offices in California, located in Fairfax and San Francisco. Dr. Smith is a dedicated learner and is constantly undergoing additional education in the fields of nutrition and neuroendocrine immunology. He believes each patient has a unique set of circumstances needing a specific plan and lifestyle changes for optimal health. His focus is on functional blood chemistry analysis; nutritional endocrinology with an emphasis on thyroid imbalances; neurotransmitter and brain health; immunology; and support of autoimmune disorders.

Omega Zumpano: Omega became a personal trainer in 2007. In 2008 she competed in her first women's figure competition and by 2009, she was a nationally ranked bikini competitor and a NASM certified personal trainer. She studied Exercise Science at Azusa Pacific University. Omega approaches exercise as an art and a science. Under the functional model, exercise at the right time, the right way, in the right amount can lead to magnificent changes in the body. Each person requires something very different to heal or as the case may be, optimize their body. Her passion for health and wellness leads her down a path to pursue continued education, like Functional Neuro Orthopedic Rehabilitation (FNOR) as well as Advanced Recovery Performance wave therapy (ARP-wave). Her purpose in each modality that she chooses to study is to help her patients heal so that they can sustain an increased quality of life.
