At this point there are who knows how many articles and books about weight loss and who knows how many diets and how many exercise plans are out there, you have many options, you can't say that you don't have options to choose from but it is very important to realize that all of these options really revolve around the same thing.

A certain diet may be low in fat, another may be low in carb, in the end, the purpose is still the loss of excess fat and one could say that low-fat diets are better or that low carb diets are better and really, I've come to the conclusion that both would be right but it depends on the individual.

You see, losing fat depends on many things and I won't discuss them all but I just want to mention one, and that is consistency. Whatever you are doing for the purpose of losing excess fat, keep doing it, do more, do it regularly, that is consistency.

Some, in fact many, believe that carbs are the most to blame for high insulin levels caused in the human body but still, this is very debated.

However, even if low carb diets were the best, it still comes down to whether or not the person can follow the diet. If the diet is too strict, too boring even, the person may not be as likely to be successful with it since he or she may find it very hard to follow it and he or she may give up and give in to cravings and stray from the right to losing weight properly so to speak.

Something that works incredibly well for someone, in fat loss, may not work as well for another person, it's just how it is. It's the same with exercising, again consistency is so important.

I currently do cardio about three times each week so three days and I have a very intense workout but I've been doing it for years, a beginner probably won't be able to follow it.

Some exercises are easier, others more difficult. Choose the ones that you prefer and that you are more likely to stick with and be consistent with.

As for supplements, they come only after you've settled on a proper diet to follow because supplements don't work on their own no matter how good they are.

CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) may be worth checking out, the only problem is that it's inconsistent and unreliable, I've seen it in studies as well as in people that have used it and that I know. It does not work for everyone. CLA Safflower Oil is very popular, definitely use supplementation and not rely on getting enough to burn fat with, from food.
