Event description
This course provides civilian strategies and guidance for surviving an active shooter event.

About this Event

NOTE: Due to the overwhelming response to this training, the location of this event has been moved to the Hudson Falls High School located at 80 East Labarge Street Hudson Falls, New York 12839 in order to accommodate more attendees. If you previously registered, you are still all set, just plan on going to the school instead of the Sheriff's Office.

We will also be offering additional classes in the near future.

The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT).

Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, and demonstrates examples of things to do in case of an active shooter event.

This potentially lifesaving program is open to the public and will address what individuals need to know to look out for their individual safety. There is no charge to attend these training sessions, however, please register in advance to ensure seating.

Please note: the presentation contains realistic material and reenactments that some attendees may find graphic in nature. Discretion for sensitive audiences is advised. This is not a class for young children, please do not bring them.
