Fall 2014 Civic Accelerator DEMO NIGHT
featuring CivicXcite: Chicago
Please join us for an evening of inquiry and interaction as we showcase the most innovative impact entrepreneurs from right here in Chicago and around the US.
You'll first hear from the 4 outstanding Chicago-based teams participating in CivicXcite, followed by the 13 game-changing impact entrepreneurs from the graduating class of the Fall 2014 Civic Accelerator present how they are solving one of our toughest social issues - creating access to economic opportunity - all while they compete for a $50,000 seed investment.
We're bringing together other successful social entrepreneurs, civic leaders, investors and philanthropists for conversation,thought-sharing, and relationship-building with the most innovative civic start-ups in the country.
Teams are looking for additional investment, board members and partners as they graduate from the Civic Accelerator. Mingling and conversation accompanied by good food and drink will immediately follow the presentations.

Organizer of CivicX Fall '14 Demo Night
The Points of Light Civic Accelerator is the first accelerator program and investment fund in the country focused on "civic ventures" -- for-profit and nonprofit startups that include people as part of the solution to critical social problems. The three-month, bootcamp-style program convenes 10-15 teams in person and online with the goal of equipping each startup to seek investments and scale their social innovation. The Civic Accelerator was launched in 2012, in partnership with Village Capital, and receives generous support from PwC Charitable Foundation and Starbucks Foundation, both founding partners, and from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, SAP and our official hotel sponsor, Hilton Worldwide.
