Join us for an opportunity to carry on the discussion from the Civic Tech Track at the Gigabit City Summit!
This meetup provides an opportunity to connect with Summit participants and speakers as well as network with policy makers, pracititioners and city officials interested in open data, civic hacking, and other ways citizens are empowered by technology to effect change in their cities. There's no formal program, but we wanted to set up a space where Gigabit City Summit attendees can mingle with the broader civic tech community and the Code for KC Brigade, who may not be participating in the full Summit.
All are welcome to attend, and there is no charge for this meetup. Drinks are on your own, we'll provide some light snacks at Snow & Co., which is a regular haunt for Code for KC social events (and the KC tech community more generaly) and was named America's #1 bar for frozen cocktails. (Sure it was two years ago, but the cocktails are still just as good!) It's easily walkable (or a short streetcar ride) from the conference hotel; and parking is plentiful if you're not staying downtown.
