Join co:census for a Civic Hacking for Transit Equity happy hour event to bring together civic leaders, transit agency staff, public servants, designers, coders and engaged citizens to tackle transit equity challenges in New York City.
Schedule
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Kickoff Talk: A panel discussion for a conversation about transit equity challenges in NYC hosted by:
- Tiasia O’Brien - Founder & Head of Strategy at co:census
- Guillermo Gomez - Program Director at the Urban Design Forum
- Christina Stacey - Principle Research Associate at the Urban Institute
6:30 - 8:00 pm: Civic Hacking: Each team will discuss and brainstorm ideas to increase transit equity based on problem statements. Teams will then ideate and prototype their solution.
8:00 - 8:30 pm: Presentations & Closing Remarks: Each team will present their idea to a panel of judges and prizes will be awarded to the top team.
