Discover How Seattle Is Taking on the Homelessness Crisis and What You Can Do to Help

Understand the complex history, examine the dynamic solutions, and learn how you can take action towards ending the housing and homelessness crisis in Seattle.

Pricing

  • $250 - Single ticket (includes breakfast, full lunch, and afternoon snacks)

What You'll Do:

  • Listen to presentations about historical and current perspectives on homelessness.
  • Tour local organizations and social services assisting the homeless population.
  • Attend panel presentations and/or group discussions with local leaders about the homelessness crisis.
  • Participate in a solutions-oriented workshop.

You'll Hear From:

  • Kira Zystra, director of All Home King County

You'll Learn About:

  • The historic and current context for the housing and homelessness crisis in Pioneer Square.
  • The demographics, challenges and myths of Seattle's homeless population.
  • The impact of policies, programs and new development on the homeless population.
  • Nonprofit and social service programs in Pioneer Square and how they are addressing homelessness.

Civic Boot Camp is an immersive, full-day program designed to give participants the tools to take action in the community. You'll have the opportunity to:
