The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) and our Faith-Based Initiative invite you to join us again as we close out our annual Reentry Reflection observance with our Citywide Reentry Assembly.
Every year, the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency partners with the National Alliance for Faith and Justice in sponsoring Justice Sunday as the kick-off to our annual Reentry Reflection observance, the goal of which is to raise public awareness about the challenges women and men face when returning to the District of Columbia after a period of incarceration.
By design, Justice Sunday coincides with the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend in recognition of Dr. King’s call to service to improve the lives of others. Reentry Reflection is a period of reflection, dialogue, celebration, and outreach to District residents and organizations willing to provide assistance and support to more than 1,500 men and women returning home after a period of incarceration each year. With the community’s help, many will be able to successfully rebuild their lives.
Find a list of this year's Reentry Reflection events at http://www.csosa.gov/reentry/events.aspx.
During the Citywide Reentry Assembly, we will recognize returning citizens as well as mentors and mentees of the year. We look forward to seeing you at what we hope will be a truly inspiring event.
