CityU experienced instructors Tee Nearman and Kathy Cox conduct four 3-hour workshops based on four specific marketing course content areas.

About this Event

Through a partnership with AMA Puget Sound, City University of Seattle is offering a Marketing Workshop series introducing you to the content in CityU’s four marketing emphasis courses. This sampling of content showcases these courses which are aligned with the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) from AMA. Come get an intro to these key marketing areas and learn how you can take advantage of CityU’s 15% tuition reduction for AMA Puget Sound members on CityU courses.

AMA members pay $120 for each session with a discount of $400 for all four. Non-members pay $150 for each session.

Your CityU Instructors

Tee Nearman is an experienced instructor winning CityU’s educator of the year award. She is a proven leader with extensive experience in consultative sales, marketing, & business development with service, franchise & consumer products companies. Recognized for the ability to dramatically increase market share & sales volume through exemplary business planning, marketing strategy, relationship building, staff training & mobilization.

Dr. Kathy Cox teaches marketing at City University of Seattle and had a long career in marketing and entrepreneurship. She was on the NorthWest Cable News launch management team as head of marketing and founded two Internet companies. She is advisor for the CityU student social entrepreneurship team, Enactus. Plus, she was the AMA Puget Sound President in 2009-10.

Covered Content Areas:

Brand Management | September 29

This interactive workshop introduces students to the concept of brand management and engagement. We will give you a taste of the course that provides understanding of how consumer behavior and customer engagement influences the creation and management of a successful brand along with brand engagement, the sales process, customer relationship management, and how the customer accesses the brand.

Consumer Behavior | October 27

The consumer behavior workshop gives you the idea of the course that examines the consumer behavior process and what, when, why, where and how consumers choose products and services. It explores how consumer behavior is influenced by marketers’ actions. We will address marketing research such as research methodology, question design and selection and the interpretation and analysis.

Marketing Analytics | TBD in early 2021

The Marketing Analytics workshop introduces the course that examines strategic decision models and marketing metrics. Market insight, forecasting, data mining, pricing, search marketing analytics, sales analytics, competitive analysis, and presenting the data are covered in the course.

Marketing Communications | TBD in early 2021

This workshop examines theories of integrated marketing communications which includes public relations, social media, mobile, content marketing, traditional print and broadcast media and the influence of integrated marketing communication on marketing strategy and organizational effectiveness.
