Citython 2022 Žilina - Hybrid Event

This hybrid (in person and online) Citython edition will be held in the city of Žilina, Slovakia, and is focused on smart mobility, in the context of climate resilient cities, public engagement and extreme weather and humanitarian emergencies. The goal of this Citython is that young professionals search for innovative and creative solutions that can be applied in the city of Žilina to foster innovation.

This hackathon will provide an opportunity for brilliant young talents to create their works with the help of mentors and experts, who will be on hand throughout the event, while also experiencing the unforgettable thrill of coming together with peers who share the same passion for digital technology and innovation.

💻 Challenges:

The challenges teams will tackle in the Citython 2022 Žilina are:

• Challenge 1 - Sustainable and healthy city through smart mobility: Help your city management to promote smart mobility and foster change towards more sustainable and climate resilient cities
• Challenge 2 - Green city planning and development: Engagement of the public in city planning and development towards smart mobility, and safer, greener and more liveable city
• Challenge 3- Better crisis management thanks to smart mobility: Building smart mobility in the context of extreme weather and humanitarian emergencies

🏆 Awards:

The Citython will give a total amount of €3000 in prizes. The winning team of each challenge (three winning teams in total) will receive a financial award of €1000.

All participants attending the event in person will also receive merchandising items.

👩🏻🧑🏻‍💻Teams:

The hackathon is open to both teams (of three to five people) and individuals of legal adult age from any country of origin. The event organisers will help participants who sign up individually to team up with other participants in a group. The procedure welcomes all applications and shall not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, or marital status.
