Description

CityStudio Logan

Logan City Council are in the process of negotiating a licence agreement for and adopting a new community development and enhancement program based on the CityStudio model (originates from Vancouver in Canada), subject to endorsement by Council. This program will become known as CityStudio Logan, an innovation hub that brings together City staff, students and the community to solve City challenges and foster partnerships between Logan City Council, education providers and students.

CityStudio Logan will be an experimental and innovative lab for the City of Logan which will operate in partnership with education institutions in the area. The CityStudio Logan program will enable the placement of students inside Logan City Council to complete real projects that will have positive impacts on the City of Logan. The projects will focus on areas such as sustainability and health, and will expand into other areas as it progresses.

Executive Director and Co-founder, Duane Elverum, from CityStudio Vancouver is visiting Logan to host a series of workshops about the exciting opportunities that CityStudio presents for Council, the community, students and education institutions across the City of Logan & greater region. Duane will be visiting Logan on Monday 30 April 2018 to present at various sessions including an information/Q&A session for all interested academic from educational faculties across the City of Logan. We would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in these important discussions on behalf of your school/university, to explore the potential benefits and opportunities for your students.
