Event description

Description

ASPIRA’s Annual Youth Conference is organized primarily by the youth in our Leadership Development Program. It provides a forum for young people to learn how to become agents of social change who can address their concerns about issues facing their school and communities in a proactive manner. Since its inception in 1993, the conference has grown into a day that includes workshops dealing with cultural identity, a college fair, and a talent showcase featuring our student artists. All workshops held at the conference are chosen by the young people and range from political, health, gender and community issues to workshops on financial aid and career preparedness.
