Event description
Join author, Ken Foster, and photographer, Traer Scott, as they discuss their new book, "City of Dogs," and more.

About this Event

Join writer Ken Foster and photographer Traer Scott for an illustrated discussion of the role dogs play in building community in city lives. From shop dogs and office dogs to the working dogs of Homeland Security and the families that build themselves around a dog rescued from the streets, dogs bring us together and open our worlds up to a broader understanding of the world around us. In addition to dog talk, Foster and Scott will offer anecdotes about the creative process as they collaborated on their new book City of Dogs.

"In City of Dogs, author Ken Foster and photographer Traer Scott explore the boroughs and their neighborhoods and profile, in words and pictures, 40 human/ canine families...While some are well known, most are celebrities only to the dogs who love them. And that is, in large part, the charm of this book: the heartfelt heart connections captured on its pages. Both Foster and Scott have an impressive list of books to their credit, but in working together on this one, they’ve created a true gem: an inspired portrait of life in the city with dogs, and how dogs make those lives better than they might otherwise be." --The Bark Magazine

Copies of City of Dogs will be available for purchase and signatures, courtesy of Diesel, a Bookstore.
