City of Cincinnati - Advancing Diversity in Development Information Session
Join the City of Cincinnati Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), the State of Ohio Development Services Agency, and the Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative for an informational session about resources available to local minority-owned certified small business enterprises.
Mr. Allen McConnell, Manager of Business Solutions, Minority Business Development Division, Ohio Development Services Agency will discuss financing options available to small businesses through the State. Allen will talk about the Collateral Enhancement Program (CEP), Ohio Capital Access Program (OCAP), and Bond Surety Program. This segment is mostly educational; making businesses aware of State programs.
Mr. Willie Hill, Executive Director, Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative, GCMI will discuss the Cincinnati MicroCity Loan Program. GCMI will also describe the types of businesses that have succeeded in the program, and advise the audience on “the right time” to apply for financing.
You will also learn about upcoming development projects supported by the City and have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A.
This is a continuation of DCED’s effort to support minority-owned businesses and economic development in Cincinnati through the Advancing Development in Diversity (ADD) initiative. ADD was launched in November 2015
