Introducing the CITY OF AUSTELL 2023 JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL + PARADE, an annual Juneteenth festival that commemorates the effective ending of Slavery in June 1865 in Galveston, TX. This event seeks to celebrate the culture and diversity of the African American experience.
The experience begins with the Juneteenth Parade at 11:15 am and travels along Austell-Powder Springs Road, ending in Legion Park at 12 pm where we'll enjoy the festivities until 7 pm. Attractions include African Dancers, Live Stage Performances from local and professional artists, Stilt Walkers, Story Tellers, Food Trucks offering a variety of Cultural Cuisine including Soul Food, Caribbean and African Cuisines.
Get your shopping on with cultural arts & crafts vendors providing unique hand-crafted gems. The kids will be too thrilled as they enjoy the bouncy houses, face painting, game trucks, arts & crafts, and more. The CITY OF AUSTELL 2023 JUNETEENTH is fun for the whole family.
