Flights are cheap, with most planning to arrive on Thurs morning (27 April) and depart on Monday (1 May). It is a bank holiday weekend so all should book flights asap. London to either Shannon or Dublin. Ryanair are normally the most reasonable but worth checking with Aer Lingus and City Jet as well.
Dublin is a 3hr bus journey (some services are 2.5hrs). Shannon 2 hrs (aside from occassional express services, which are 1 hr).
Shannon Airport to Galway: www.buseireann.ie (buses every hour)
Accommodation to suit all budgets in Galway. Anywhere around the city is good as all events are within walking distance to one another. City centre is about the size of Covent Garden.
Quite a few used airbnb.com last year but there are numerous options online so worth shopping around. Stay within a mile of the city centre to avoid the need for taxis/public transport.
