Just on the heels of a recent European Summer tour, the progressive punk band Circle Takes The Square will be turning their focus homeward this Fall 2013 to embark on an Eastern tour of the U.S. and Canada. From October 28th through November 16th, CTTS will perform on North American soil for the first time since 2011, following the recent release of "Decompositions: Volume Number One" on their own Gatepost Recordings earlier this year.
Starting October 28th in Canton, OH, Circle Takes The Square will set out to complete a string of shows throughout the Southeast. They will perform in Gainesville, FL on Friday, November 1st as part of The Fest 12, and will then join up with an unlikely and notable opener: B. Dolan (Strange Famous Records recording artist) and his live band will join the crew fromNov. 3-12, for the CROSS POLLINATION TOUR, a prominent leg of their journey, spanning the East Coast from Asheville, NC to Portland, ME.
B. Dolan was signed to Strange Famous Records by label boss Sage Francis in 2008, and has since released a trio of aggressive, "doom-bap" hip hop records to critical underground acclaim. He'll be joined on this tour by a new live band, formed for the production of an upcoming lp slated for release in 2014. The set will consist largely of hits from 2010's "Fallen House, Sunken City", 2012's "House of Bees vol. 2", as well as new material.
After the CROSS POLLINATION gigs with B. Dolan, CTTS will wrap things up with a long-awaited return to Canada, including an appearance at Not Dead Yet Fest in Toronto on November 15th, with additional shows in Montreal, Ottowa, and Hamilton, ON. Select U.S. dates will also feature NC-based, technical-sludge purveyors, SYSTEMS
