People professionals’ role in ensuring that leaders and managers are more effective

Excellent leaders and managers are highly sought after and organisations fortunate enough to retain them recognise that effort and energy is essential.

This has to be, as people professionals, our highest priority. Our Circle of Peers will be focusing on this topic this year.

Our Winter Series will:

• Look at the shifting tides all organisations are facing

• Review the perceived differences between leaders and managers

• Discuss six behaviours that should be recognised, rewarded and developed.

Maureen Scholefield will encourage you to consider these areas and you will then have the opportunity to discuss these concepts with your peers.

Bounce around ideas

Discuss problems and share solutions

Share successes and pitfalls in different approaches

We will be drawing upon the latest news and case studies in HR/L&D. The Circle of Peers Virtual is designed to provide the chance to participate in stimulating and topical discussions and presentations using Zoom. Using breakout rooms for larger groups to keep the conversation going, we meet under Chatham House Rules to share, support, and where appropriate learn from each other.

We normally offer lunch and refreshments so please bring your coffee, water, with you - we are good but have not yet managed to send virtual drinks and food!

Tickets to our Circle of Peers events are offered on a complimentary basis, but do run on a first come, first served basis. In order to get real participation we will limit the numbers to 24, so please reserve your place as soon as you are able.
