Join international bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert for a weekend of renewal as IslandWood presents the 12th annual Circle of Friends: A Weekend in the Woods for Women. We are thrilled that Elizabeth Gilbert, often recognized by her best selling titles: Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear, and her most recently published The Signature of All Things, will serve as the keynote speaker for the weekend's festivities.
With IslandWood’s beautiful 255-acre wooded campus as a backdrop for the weekend, participants will choose from a menu of diverse activites like hiking, creating art, yoga, meditation, bird watching, or simply taking time for rest and restoration. Elizabeth Gilbert will also lead an intimate Creativity Workshop (see Add-On Ticket below) on Saturday afternoon. Space is very limited.
The weekend includes two nights of accommodation in one of IslandWood’s comfortable mindfully built lodges. It also includes sustainably prepared meals and a unique campfire experience, in additition to discussions with Elizabeth Gilbert and freedom to participate in the carefully curated outdoor and indoor activites. Creativity Workshop, led by Elizabeth Gilbert, will take place at IslandWood on Saturday afternoon and is only available to those who register for any of the lodging options or Saturday-only ticket type. It is seen following registration as an add-on ticket type for $200. Seating is very limited.
Tickets to The Moore Theatre on Friday, 3/31. Elizabeth Gilbert will also present in Seattle on Friday night (3/31) at The Moore Theatre. Pre-Registration is now closed. Tickets will be available through Seattle Theatre Group and Ticketmaster starting Friday, December, 16th at 10am.
Lodging at IslandWood includes four rustic, Northwest-style lodges. Most bunkrooms include one queen bed and two sets of bunk beds. All guest rooms have a private bathroom. Each lodge features a spacious log-beam great room complete with rustic artisan furniture, and a soaring hand-hewn fireplace made from indigenous stone. In addition, each lodge features a guest closet with laundry facilities, and a small refrigerator is available in each great room. Wireless internet service is available throughout our campus.

Dining at IslandWood will be one of the most unique and exciting experiences during the event. Our innovative chefs showcase local, organic, and sustainably sourced ingredients in exquisite meals that reflect both the current season and the bounty of our unique Northwest location.
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the event, you will receive a full refund minus a $40 administrative fee. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will be charged the full event fee with no refund.
