Event description

Description

Created as part of a collaboration between Performing Medicine and the Simulation and interactive Learning Centre, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust, Circle of Care is a framework to help healthcare professionals think about, practise and demonstrate high quality compassionate care. It includes a “Skills Compass”, consisting of nine key skills, including self-care, non-verbal and verbal communication, spatial and situational awareness, teamwork, amongst others. In this introductory workshop, the framework will be described after which participants will have the chance to experience some of the practical exercises through which these skills can be practised and explored.

Suzy Willson is Artistic Director of Clod Ensemble, and leads their Performing Medicine programme.

Peter Jaye is the Director of the Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust.
