7:00 PM Program - Cindy Crosby presents "Illinois' Wild and Wonderful Early Bloomers'

Join us as author and educator Cindy Crosby presents a blast of beautiful native wildflower color in the midst of our Illinois winter. She will share stories about our earliest spring wildflowers, their folklore and their uses throughout history by Native Americans and early settlers. Be inspired to add some of Illinois' wildflowers to your own garden this year.

Cindy has a master's degree in natural resources from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She is a Master Gardener and teaches in the Master Naturalist program. She has decades of experience as prairie steward and volunteer, including managing work on the fourth oldest restored prairie in North America, involvement with dragonfly monitors and programs in Illinois, and work at The Morton Arboretum and Nachusa Grasslands.
