Event description
CWPC's 35th Annual Outstanding Achievement Awards Honoring: Kersha Deibel, State Representative Brigid Kelly, and Kate Schroder

About this event

It is a new year. Last year we won some important races in Hamilton County, but the war on women is still on, nowhere as strongly as here in Ohio. Cincinnati Women’s Political Caucus and its members continue to work hard to get pro-choice, progressive women elected at all levels of government. In order to accomplish that, CWPC raises money to support our candidates. Our Thirty Fifth Annual Outstanding Achievement Awards Reception, the proceeds of which go to our endorsed candidates, will be held this year virtually on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. via ZOOM. At this event we honor extraordinary women who, through their life’s work and efforts, have contributed to the advancement of women’s rights and to the furtherance of the growth of the community.

This year, we are extremely proud to be honoring 3 special women. Kersha Deibel is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio. She has an abundance of experience in leading, educating and advocating for their patients, and for reproductive rights. State Representative Brigid Kelly represents Ohio’s 31st House District. She has been a fighter for the rights of women and for working people in the Legislature. Kate Schroder, a health care policy expert, is currently the Regional Vaccine Coordinator at the Health Collaborative. She spent 12 years at the Clinton Health Access Initiative where she fought to save children’s lives in Africa, focusing specifically on reducing a high child mortality rate. Kate was also our endorsed candidate for Congress in 2020. All our honorees have worked to make our region and the world the best it can be. We will also take this opportunity to present our 2020 honorees with their award, which we were not able to do last year.

Once again, this will be CWPC’s major fundraising event for 2021. The funds we raise are all contributed to our endorsed candidates. We ask that you give generously, as the more money we raise, the more CWPC-PAC can contribute to and promote increased participation of candidates who support and will work for the goals of CWPC: the social, economic and political advancement of women.

There are several ways to contribute. You can buy a ticket for $50.00, be a Donor for $100, a Sponsor for $150.00, a Patron for $250.00, a Benefactor for $500.00, or an Underwriter for $1,000.00 and above. A gift in any category above ticket only includes your name in the program. PLEASE NOTE: Since you are donating to a PAC, by law we are required to disclose the names of donors and the value of their donations in our financial filing statement. Corporate donations/checks are prohibited.
