"The Cigar Marine" was forever immortalized after an AP photograph was taken just before the Firdos Square statue of Saddam Hussein was destroyed on April 9, 2003 and put on the front pages of newspapers around the world. Author and speaker Nick Popaditch, "The Cigar Marine" aka Gunny Pop, will be in El Dorado Hills for a very special event to honor his fellow military men and women.
In recognition of the Marine Corps Birthday, Nick will be launching a line of premium, hand rolled cigars in conjunction with Art of Cigars. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, an organization close to Nick's heart.
This Event is FREE and open to EVERYONE who would like to attend. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Come and meet Nick Popadtich, an absolute inspiration and true American Hero.
Nick hopes to raise significant funds for the Semper Fi Fund. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit set up to provide immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Popaditch, who was partially blinded in combat during the First Battle of Fallujah in 2004 when he was struck in the head by an RPG, has been a strong supporter of the Semper Fi Fund.
“I am excited to stand behind a product that allows cigar smokers to celebrate in true Marine Corps style, and even more so to support a great organization that helps so many injured Marines and their families,” said Nick “Gunny Pop” Popaditch.
There will be a special VIP event at 5pm for individuals who would like to pre-purchase a Humidor Bundle. The Humidor will be signed by Nick and contain his book Once a Marine: An Iraq War Tank Commander's Inspirational Memoir of Combat, Courage, and Recovery published by Savas Beatie, LLC.
*Please note: The 2-Cigars w/ Book Bundle is not part of the VIP event.
