Mad*Pow has a deep and broad experience with inclusive accessible design and is able to share our understanding and passion of the subject with in-house teams so that they can execute thoughtful, legally-compliant accessible design going forward. Our designers, technologists, strategists and content creators are all trained in accessibility and committed to helping clients achieve accessible and inclusive results for end users.
Why Do You Need an Accessibility Workshop?
Design and content teams have nearly universally embraced user experience, which is wonderful news for their audiences! Unfortunately, too many still lack the knowledge or ability to create accessible, inclusive designs. That means the final experiences are great for some people, but not all.
In industries like healthcare, there are legal requirements that teams may not even know about until they’re presented with a complaint or lawsuit! Standards and guidelines exist, but they can be complicated and long-winded.
This CHXD workshop is open and valuable for any UX designer, content strategist, or UX writer.
By the end of the workshop, participants will
-
Understand the various levels of accessibility
-
Recognize how to use technology to lower health access barriers
-
Gain a working knowledge of the legal and regulatory frameworks that define and enforce digital accessibility
-
Plan and execute accessible design, content, and code
Individual CHXD Membership ($299) includes a free pass to a workshop ($395 + fees). Why not sign up for a CHXD membership, save some money, and become a member of a vibrant community? Learn more about membership here.
