Churches Trust Forum Annual Conference Thursday, 18 May 2017
Thu, May 18, 2017, 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM BST
The Churches Trusts Forum Annual Conference 2017 is open to trustees and other volunteers from County Churches Trusts and Local Trusts from across the United Kingdom as well as guests from the wider Heritage and Faith sectors. The aim of the day is to inform and inspire you in the valuable work of supporting churches in your area.
The focus for 2017 will be 19th and 20th Century church buildings and regeneration for urban and rural places of worship as well as covering the ever important issues such as fundraising, grants and partnership working.
The one-day conference will be a stimulating mix of topical presentations, discussions and workshops with guest speakers and plenty of opportunity to network and share inspiration with others. This year there will also be an Exposition of displays and exhibitions including the Victorian Society's magnificent photographic display "Saving a Century" back in Manchester after its national tour.
The Greater Manchester Churches Preservation Society takes particular pleasure in welcoming delegates to the City of Manchester in 2017 as part of their tenth anniversary celebrations. Manchester is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revelotion and today the City combines this proud history with a progressive vision for the future.
Our venue for the day is the Methodist Central Buildings in the vibrant Northern Quarter of the City. These buildings have played an important part in the Methodist movement. Originally built in 1885 they were heavily damaged during the Manchester blitz and were substantially rebuilt in 1953.
The full Programme will be available soon and will be circulated to delegates who have already booked as well as being published on www.nationalchurchestrust.org.
The Conference has increased in popularity year on year - so much so that the last couple of years have been a complete sell out. We therefore advise you to book early for what promises to be another fantastic and informative event.
There are a number early bird tickets available at £32 (if you book before the 24 March 2017) after which they will revert to the normal price of £35. In addition, for every 3 tickets purchased you will receive an extra place completely free of charge - the perfect opportunity to invite a colleague who has never been before.
Lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price.
