Description

From Gratitude to Enoughness

This month at Church of the Wild, we ground ourselves in gratitude and open ourselves to the abundance of Divine provision, not only for us but for all of earth's creatures. Our commercial culture fosters dissatisfaction over what we have, and who we are, and encourages us to take more than our share, with a profound impact on the earth and all its beings.

When we celebrate and give thanks for our many gifts, we realize that most of us already have more than enough. As we live with a deeper sense of satisfaction and enoughness, we take less and live more lightly within the web of creation.

Drumming and centering will begin at 2:45 p.m.

Church of the Wild DC MD VA

Church of the Wild gathers together monthly to honor the mutual indwelling of the Divine with the Earth and all of its beings, remembering our sacred interconnection and interdependence through multi-traditional spiritual practices, music, and solo or group wanderings. As participants in the web of creation, we seek to be attentive to the Holy in our midst and invite one another to come home to the sacred ecological ground in which we live. This groundedness guides us to live from a place of deeper compassion, care, and gratitude for all living things.

All Are Welcome

We strive to be intergenerational and accessible to all. There is a short walk across a generally flat dirt path to our gathering site. We welcome children and can offer age-appropriate programming. Please contact us when you'll be attending with children or when accessibility is a concern so that we can be fully welcoming. All are welcome and respected!

Coming by Metro?

We will have a pickup at 2:15 pm at the Metro IF folks are interested. Just email Beth by noon on Saturday, November 3, if you need a ride from the Metro, and we can coordinate locations.

Help Keep Church of the Wild Going

Church of the Wild is free of charge and open to all. We love leading this gathering, but we do have numerous expenses. We would be very grateful to those of you who are able to contribute as you can so that we can continue to offer this program to a broad range of participants.

Many thanks!
