Chuck Hall was born in Louisiana and raised on the Texas side, growing up in a very music-oriented family. His mother—a classical pianist who at age 90 still teaches on the same grand piano Chuck grew up with—his father’s extensive jazz collection, and the local roots Blues on the radio kept the house constantly alive with an eclectic mix of music that inspires Chuck to this day. He began playing the guitar at age 10, heard his first Lightnin’ Hopkins album at 13, and never looked back. Chuck Hall has won the hearts and accolades of fans and critics throughout his electrifying Blues career, which now spans over five decades. His Arizona journey began in 1984 as co-frontman with Texas Red & The Hartbreakers and was followed by the legendary Chuck Hall & The Brick Wall, and currently The Chuck Hall Band. He spent a year on the road with Robert Cray, opened shows for B.B. King, Johnny Winter, Gregg Allman, Charlie Musselwhite, Hans Olson, Los Lobos and many more… and has toured internationally since 1992. Awards include “Best Blues Guitarist” in Arizona and “Best Song” for his original title “Young Boy.” While still heavily gigging, Chuck worked extensively with Fender Guitars for over ten years, representing the brand as a master clinician at numerous international trade shows and dealer events. PBS and Tempe Center for the Arts highlighted his career in a televised 2014 Songwriters Showcase, and Fervor Records has placed numerous Chuck Hall songs on popular television shows. The recent addition of Chuck’s eclectic “Rewired!” acoustic music has opened up new artistic possibilities for him, and he now offers performances ranging from solo, duo, trio through six-piece bands. All Hall truly is breaking loose!
