CHR's 2015 Mardi Gras, Island-style!

Masks, costumes, beads, King Cake—it’s time for Mardi Gras, and CHR (Community Housing and Resources) is taking its signature fundraising event to the next level! Are you ready to experience “Mardi Gras Island-Style?” Now in its third year, CHR’s Mardi Gras, presented by Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, brings Fat Tuesday to Sanibel! Oh, the traditional Mardi Gras stuff is there all right, but we do it like true islanders…island style!

This is not just a fundraiser; Mardi Gras Island-Style is more like a big, community party. You’ll be treated to authentic Cajun food (with alternatives if you need something different), festive music, and lots of midway-style carnival games, games of chance, a Chinese auction, costume contest, lots of awesome prizes, and Mardi Gras themed fun!

At the entrance, guests will be able to purchase “Mardi Bucks” coins that they will use throughout the event to play games and enter contests. Winning the games makes you eligible for prize drawings. So the more you play, the more chances you have at winning some great prizes!

Come in costume or come as you are. This is a party! With tickets at only $55 per person, you can have some authentic Mardi Gras fun while supporting the work of CHR as we provide affordable housing to our full-time island workers. They’re the backbone of our local economy, and they’re also your friends and neighbors. So come party with us island-style!
