CPSMP is the English version of the Chonic Pain Self-Management Program developed by Dr. Kate Lorig at the Stanford Patient Education Research Center. CPSMP is a copyrighted program that requires organizations and leaders to operate under a license. In Arizona, CPSMP is known as Healthy Living with Chronic Pain (CPSMP).
All attendees of this training will need to have an established agreement in place to provide licensing prior to attending the training. This cross training is only for CDSMP trained Lay Leaders who are active and current with their CDSMP certification.
CPSMP workshops require two (2) facilitators, so organizations are encouraged to sponsor two (2) members to attend the training. CPSMP Leaders are encouraged to deliver one (1) CPSMP workshop within six (6) months of their training, and are required to facilitate one (1) workshop annually to maintain their Leader status. CPSMP workshops should enroll fifteen to eighteen (15-18) participants per workshop.
