Event description
Join Isabel, IIN certified health coach with SuperSized Wellness, to discover the personal paths to thriving with chronic illness.

About this Event

Do you or a loved one suffer from one or more chronic illness? Over 40% of Americans do, and that number is on the rise, expected to increase to 55% over the next decade! About half of all adults have a chronic condition, and approximately 8 percent of children ages 5 to 17 were reported by their parents to have limited activities due to at least one chronic disease. Chronic disease represents more than 75% of all health care costs.

This workshop will focus on empowering you to craft a personal plan that minimizes the impact of chronic illness on your quality of life. The workshop will include:

  • How to educate yourself and loved ones about your diagnosis
  • Building and working with your ideal health care team
  • Crafting a long term plan to help you thrive
  • Employment and symptoms
  • Science based lifestyle fundamentals
  • Building support for long term success

Isabel Ramirez Burnett is an IIN certified health coach with SuperSized Wellness, specializing in chronic illness management. Isabel became a health coach to understand how to manage her multiple, complex chronic conditions and has been working with clients privately and in group settings. Isabel has partnered with medical doctors and other health care professionals to offer workshops in person and online on topics such as the microbiome, gut health, integrated therapies for managing pain and fatigue, navigating rare conditions and several other topics on chronic illness. She enjoys staying current with the latest research/medical literature and its application into wellness practices.Isabel's focus is on empowering clients with chronic health conditions (and those simply feeling sub-optimal) to live in a state of chronic wellness through well rounded approaches and real-life skills training that help clients navigate and self advocate within the complex medical systems, as well as chronic illness's effect on relationships with family and friends. She helps clients in understanding the monumental, and often confusing amount of health information available by teaching how to discern, apply and measure personal results to achieve her client's individual level of optimal wellness. On a personal level, Isabel enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, foraging, primal movement, dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Isabel resides in Rhode Island with her husband and the 2 youngest of her 3 children.
