Pejepscot Historical Society opens up the Chamberlain House for a special holiday event. See and hear how Christmas was celebrated in the latter half of the 19th century and into the early 20th century, including Chamberlain family traditions. Following a half-hour talk in the restored parlor by longtime Chamberlain docent Marie Pangborn in period dress, visitors will be guided through the rooms of the house, each decorated according to a different era. In addition to an array of holiday decor, some special collection items will be on display. Enjoy holiday refreshments and shopping in the museum store following the program.
