Event description
"CHRISTMAS IN JULY" TEA

About this event

The Fayette County Historical Society invites you to be pampered and indulge with us at an afternoon tea at the Abel Colley Tavern and Museum on Route 40. Our Afternoon Tea will be full of towering tiers of sweet treats, warm scones, clotted cream and fruit preserves. Along with savory delights to tantalize your taste, all perfectly paired with special teas. Join us on Sunday, July 25 or Thursday, July 29 at 2PM to hear a bit of history presented by Tom Buckelew. He will give a talk on the history of English teapots and share examples from his family's collection of teapots between the mid 1700's and the early 1800's. There will also be a performance by Mary Kay Karolewics on the cello. You may also take a tour of the current exhibit "Christmas Travels in Fayette".

Please come and partake in our delicious afternoon tea with your friends and family. Also a perfect time to share with your son or daughter. Children's ticket half price.
