ABOUT TURPIN CARES

All proceeds from this event will support the activities of Turpin Cares, which is a philanthropic non-profit organization sponsored, in part, by Turpin Communication and individuals who live in and around the Beverly neighborhood in Chicago. We distribute food, hygiene products, and relief items to people in need on Chicago’s south side. Recipients include individuals, shelters, and other organizations doing good in the neighborhoods in which we live and work.

Funds raised at this fundraiser will be used to:

  • Stock local "blessings boxes" (take what you need, give what you can) with pantry items
  • Stock a free "store" that we support at a local shelter with hygiene and comfort items
  • Create care packages that contain food, hygiene, and comfort items for people on the streets

ABOUT MUFFY FISHBASKET

Muffy Fishbasket is world famous in her mind and the original drag broad. Her performance has been referred to as a mix of Madeline Kahn confusion and Mae West Camp...which is good ‘cause she's done her best to steal both of their acts. She has trained in circus arts at the Actors’ Gymnasium and Trapeze School New York and performs regularly at The Call, Carbon Arc Second City and The House of Blues. Muffy has performed all over the country and sometimes even on a stage in an actual show! She has been a featured performer at Steppenwolf, Second City, The House of Blues, Thaw, Toledo Pride, Campit Resort, a headliner at Austin International Drag Fest, NPR and that mattress in your alley.
