Christmas in July Food Drive
Event Information
About this Event
Willow Wish is collaborating with Holiday Inn & Suites Phoenix-Mesa/Chandler and Give Garden to bring you our 3rd Annual Food Drive event.
NOTE: We have TWO free ticket options - you can let us know if (1) you are planning to stay to enjoy the activities offered by our partners or (2) you can RSVP as a drive-thru to drop off your donation and take home a DIY event activity kit.
This year we have designated Matthew's Crossing Food Bank in Chandler and United Food Bank in Mesa to be the recipients of your generosity.
The hallmark of our community food drive events are the inclusion of the whole family and the educational activities offered at the event. We invite your crew from age 0 - 99+ to come out and volunteer. You can bring your own donation, or collect food from your neighbors or faith community. Come the day of the event to drop off your donation and partake in our interactive events designed for the whole family.
Give Garden will be offering a fun food workshop where attendees can taste fruit salsa with cinnamon triangles. We will have a story-time for the youngsters and a craft station for the whole family to enjoy. All our attendees will receive a goody-bag that includes a free copy of "CHERISH" 2020 Edition, our family resource guide full of articles ranging from pregnancy topics through parenting through the teen years.
If you are still not ready to engage with people, we have got you covered. We are offering a "drive-thru" version of the event where you can drop off your donation and receive an at-home activity kit that includes the Give Garden event recipe and your own DIY event activity kit for you to enjoy at home.
Please help us plan for the quantity of in-person craft kits and take-home event kits we need to prepare in advance of the event. Ticketing is requested but not required - even if you see this event notification the day of the event, come on out!! We would love to meet you and appreciate your help as we strive to make a real difference for our neighbors facing food insecurity.
