When & Where
Light of the World Ministries
Light of the World Ministries reaches out to the homeless, poor, and needy in the Jacksonville area by being the hands and feet of Jesus. We build relationships with those who have been overlooked and pushed aside by spending time with them, listening to their hearts, and just loving them like Jesus by meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in whatever way we can.
Light of the World Ministries passes out donations of clothes, food, household items, hygiene items, and Bibles on a weekly basis to those in need who live in the Jacksonville Beaches and Arlington areas. Since November 2011, Light of the World Ministries has assisted over 30 homeless people in getting off the street in Jacksonville Beach and into apartments in Arlington. Once they are off the street we help furnish their apartments with furniture and other household items that help make their new place feel like home. We then walk along side them, holding them accountable as they adjust to society again.
God has given us the vision to train and equip believers to come together to serve the least of these as the body of Christ.
"And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'" Matthew 25:40
