Christmas Community Connector Network

By Up For Yorkshire

Overview

A regular Network for Community Connectors with updates on community services, funding and activities.

Up For Yorkshire are inviting professional and volunteer Community Connectors for networking, expert talks and sharing success stories.

Our next network event is about the Shop For The Future project, recycling and how communities can help support the development of our high street.

High Street Vibrancy and Selby Town redevelopment are hot topics, so we are bringing experts and service providers together to explain what's happening in Selby and how the processes work and how organisations are working together in the Selby area. Essential Community Connector know-how!We will look at the Shop For The Future project and The Vision For Selby and Town Investment Plan, the partnerships involved and what they mean for our community.

We will also be joined by Gul Dag, who manages partnerships at University of York and Karla Burton from North Yorkshire Sport who will talk about the York and North Yorkshire Mayor's Movement, Activity and Sport Investment Programme, a £2.75 million programme, dedicated to reducing these inequalities and improving wellbeing through increased participation in movement, activity and sport at all stages of life.
So, if you are interested in finding out who is offering what, for whom and where, or you would like to be involved join us to get clued-up and meet other Community Connectors.
