Event description

Description

This evening event launches an online resource aimed at helping Christians to talk about death and explore contemporary debates surrounding end of life decisions. The resource is the product of the 'Christian Perspectives on Death and Dying' project which is an ecumenical initiative to support Christians to engage with the key current issues of providing, withdrawing and witholding treatments, advance decisions (living wills) and assisted dying. The resource has been produced following six conferences across England and Wales during 2016-2017 which saw the discussion of these key issues from clergy, clinicians, ethicists, academics and the christian community.

All are welcome to this launch event, kindly hosted by London Quakers, our hosts for our London conference. The event will showcase the resource, show attendees how to navigate and use the resource. We will also provide suggestions about how to run similar conferences,or use the resource to run a series of seminar/discussion groups or use it for personal study and reflection.

The event will include a brief overview of the resource provided by project co-ordinator Julie Latchem and short reflections from key speakers (TBC).
