Description
As a Christian in the marketplace, our work is a primary venue for ministry, reflecting God and being the means of His work in the world.. Our work is our calling. We are uniquely positioned to impact the lives of our employees, colleagues, customers and vendors -- and through them, the world!
Welcome John Spadafora, of CrossWorld, as the Speaker for this Special Breakfast
John Spadafora grew up in Philadelphia, graduated with bachelors and master’s degrees in music and theology, and later worked in Italy for 18 years, integrating his faith and music as a church-planter. He returned to the U.S. to continue with Crossworld as Director of Church Connections. He facilitates relationships with U.S. and international churches through networking, writing and speaking on faith/work integration, casting vision for the workplace locally and globally as a primary venue for God’s transforming work. John and Diane have been married 40 years, live in the Philly area and have three adult children and three grandchildren.
His presentation for the breakfast is titled:
Who Are We In The Work Place?
Who we believe ourselves to be in our work greatly affects our motivations, attitudes and actions in our daily occupations. Come explore what it means to be “partners with God” in His work of restoring all things. You will leave with helpful workplace lenses and some practical suggestions for living out our “partnership” with God.
We will have breakfast like normal and then have a special presentation for local Pastors immediately following. Please invite your pastor to join you for breakfast and stay for this special session. This will be a special time for discussion on what Business on Mission and our local churches can do together on a daily basis in the Roanoke Valley. You are welcome to stay as well, if your schedule allows. During this session, John presentation is titled:
Equipping God’s people for the workplace
What does it look like for the traditional church to recognize, affirm and equip her people for where they spend the majority of their time – at work? We will consider some practical applications to foster a church environment that encourages and prepares members to flourish as disciples in the workplace and business community.
Invite your Pastor and even sponsor his attendance by paying a special Pastor's price for breakfast at checkout.
Network with other Christian executives, leaders and entrepreneurs, and be inspired.
Business on Mission - Roanoke Valley is an extension of the first Business on Mission conference, held in the fall of 2016 in Lynchburg. A few Roanoke-based conference attendees came together to engage other local business leaders in further exploring how we can integrate our faith into our work.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Join us as John shares powerful insights which, hopefully, will encourage some to examine their approach to life, workplace missions and the claims of Christ.
